So how does a Solar PV Panel work then?

Ok so whats involved?
Solar panels are installed onto your roof and are then connected to an inverter which is usually installed in your loft space. A generation meter records how much electricity you are producing.
Once your panels have absorbed the suns energy, it is then converted and the electricity then flows into your existing consumer unit where it is either used to power your lights and appliances or if you don't use the energy this is then exported to the grid.
